On 29 April we took 11 crews to The Lea for their spring regatta. Despite some cold and windy weather, all performed well, although some will be going home to work on their steering, and two crews brought home pots after winning their categories.
Our women’s four showed the results of their new training plan, beating University of Kent in the first round, Lea in the second, and Globe in the final to claim their first win of the year. Our Captain, returning to rowing with style following a serious injury last year, winning the men’s singles after only getting back into a boat a few months ago.
Well done to everyone who raced, and thank you to the parents, coaches and members who helped out on the day.
