Gravesend Rowing Club
A brief history by Stan Wingfield and Carole Trowbridge
Interested in learning to row? We’re running a learn to row course from the weekend of 12 September, at £80 for six weeks of coached lessons. To register your interest or find out more, please contact email@example.com
Please note, Learn to Row courses are open to adults, and juniors over the age of 13. You must also be able to swim 100m in light clothing.
We’re raising money to get more juniors out on the water by getting our new (but second hand) eight up to scratch. Please help us with sponsorship at: https://wonderful.org/fundraiser/48hourrow-8811d13c
Interested in learning to row on the water or join the growing sport of indoor rowing? Want to get fit while having fun in a friendly environment? Ever wanted to compete as part of a crew? Gravesend Rowing Club will be open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 April for all those interested in joining us.
Our members range from 13 to well into their 70s, from competitive to social rowers, and we’re always on the look out for more. Whether you’re interested in rowing on the water, making use of our fitness sessions indoors, shouting at everyone from the cox’s seat or volunteering at a lively local club, Gravesend Rowing Club has plenty of opportunities.
Our club will be open for you to look around, talk to our coaches, try to beat our indoor rowing challenge and (weather permitting) have a go in one of our boats. If you have any queries beforehand, do get in touch via firstname.lastname@example.org. See you there!
